Refund Policy

We'd rather refund your purchase price than have you feel stuck with something that doesn't fit your setup.

The policy

• 14-day request window. When requesting a refund, email support@captionplug.com from your account email and provide all relevant information within 14 days of the purchase date.
• Refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe, usually within 5-10 business days depending on your bank.
• When a refund is issued, your license key is revoked and the download disappears from your account. (That's the trade.)
• After 14 days we can't promise a refund, but email us anyway if something is genuinely broken - if the plugin can't work on a supported setup and we can't fix it, we'll make it right.

EU/UK buyers

For digital content, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right applies until you start downloading the Software; by downloading it you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that the statutory withdrawal right then lapses. Our voluntary 14-day policy above is broader and applies regardless - we honor it even after you've downloaded. Your statutory rights for faulty digital content remain unaffected.

What doesn't qualify

• Chargebacks filed instead of just emailing us (please don't - we're fast).
• Accounts that violated the EULA (key sharing, resale).
• Optional third-party costs, like OpenAI or Groq API credits you chose to buy.

Browser-studio credit packages

If Groq is unavailable or the transcription request is not accepted, its reserved credit is restored automatically. Once the provider accepts and processes a video, that video uses one credit even if it contains no detectable speech or produces no usable words. Editing and re-exporting an already transcribed project never consumes another credit. Unused paid credit packages can be refunded within 14 days; any credits already used are deducted from the refundable amount. A full payment reversal can leave the account with a negative paid balance if its credits were already consumed.
