Which files can I use?
MP4, MOV, and WebM video up to 60 seconds. Browser codec support can vary, so a standard H.264 MP4 is the safest input.
Is the first export really free?
Yes. A confirmed account receives one promotional credit. After that, studio credits are pay as you go.
Is the video uploaded?
The full video stays in the browser for editing and export. Audio is sent to Caption Plug for transcription, so the web studio is not described as fully local.
Can I export SRT?
Not from the web studio today. It exports a captioned MP4. Use the Premiere plugin for SRT export or the free subtitle tools for existing SRT files.
Does the studio replace the Premiere plugin?
Use the studio without Premiere for short clips. If Premiere is already your editor, the one-time plugin is more capable and has no per-video charge.
