Caption Plug content is written and maintained by the product and engineering team that builds the Premiere plugin, browser studio, rendering engine, caption tools, release system, and test suite. The purpose is to help an editor make a defensible workflow decision—not manufacture a ranking.
Version, price, compatibility, preset counts, font counts, and output behavior are checked against the public website configuration, the Caption Plug source repository, and shipped artifacts. The current product version is 1.1.3.
A benchmark names the model revision, runtime, dataset, sample method, metric, test date, raw results, and limitations. A small smoke test is described as small; it is not generalized into population accuracy.
Comparison pages distinguish official-source research from independently running a competitor. Missing version or test information is shown as missing instead of inferred.
Caption Plug publishes its own comparisons. Every comparison must state that relationship, show reasons to choose the other product, and list Caption Plug limitations.
Verified labels are tied to a paid purchase or successful studio use. Approval concerns abuse, privacy, and publication consent—not whether a rating is positive. Aggregate markup remains absent until visible review counts can be reconciled.
Pages receive a new reviewed or modified date after retesting, new evidence, pricing capture, version changes, meaningful corrections, or new original analysis—not automatically during deployment.
The public author entity is the accountable product organization; no fictional individual biographies are used. Technical implementation can be inspected through the public product repository.
Inspect the Caption Plug software repositoryIf a product fact, workflow, price, citation, or benchmark result is wrong, email the URL, the disputed statement, and a primary source or reproducible case. Confirmed corrections are applied with an updated history.
